50 years ago, IMS brought us to the moon, but now we do not need it anymore?

On July 21th, 1969 history was made. The entire world watched in awe as the first manned moon mission safely and successfully touched down on the moon's surface.

Exploration of the moon was short lived and stopped in 1972, but the technology that was developed for those lunar missions has kept pace and so has IMS.
Can you name another database and transaction management system where several generations of programmers have written applications that are currently still running in the same systems?

Join us in Antwerp on 14 November 2019 to keep up and expand your IMS expertise, renew your technical and professional relationships, and participate in this full day educational opportunity related to IMS.

ABN AMRO has delegated some of their best experts to present on how to practice IMS Coldstart. BNPParibasFortis will explain how they arrange their message regions “on demand” as workload changes.
The day will be completed by a number of renowned speakers from IBM, CA-Broadcom, and BMC.

During its 50+ year life, IMS had adapted its abilities to support applications and communication models that developed over the years, and continues to do so in the era of DevOps micro services APIs  and analytics.
