50 years ago, IMS brought us to the moon, but now we do not need it anymore?

On July 21th, 1969 history was made. The entire world watched in awe as the first manned moon mission safely and successfully touched down on the moon's surface.

Exploration of the moon was short lived and stopped in 1972, but the technology that was developed for those lunar missions has kept pace and so has IMS.
Can you name another database and transaction management system where several generations of programmers have written applications that are currently still running in the same systems?

Join us in Antwerp on 14 November 2019 to keep up and expand your IMS expertise, renew your technical and professional relationships, and participate in this full day educational opportunity related to IMS.

There May Not be a Magic Recipe to Continuous Delivery, but a Few Magic Spices May Be Just Enough to Complete Your Recipe.

Starting with Version 12, Db2 for z/OS is using a continuous delivery model to deliver both fixes to problems as well as new functionality in the maintenance stream. Even when you are not on Db2 12 yet, it is important that you understand how this works, as you will likely have to make some changes to the way you roll out and implement Db2 maintenance, as well as new functionality in your organization.

To discuss this and more, GSE Db2 User Group invites you for an afternoon on “Continuous delivery in practice” in Antwerp on Thursday, 5 December 2019.
